Isolated on the fringes of a soulless city, Catherine survives on the remains of her translation business. But a mysterious client offers a lucrative job and the opportunity for Catherine to indulge her own distorted and incompatible desires. As the film progresses, the lines between reality and fantasy blur, perfectly mirroring Catherine’s struggle to make sense of the tainted fragments of her client’s mysterious scroll.
